Job Summary

The primary responsibility of a sleigh cat operator of any level will be the safe and timely transportation of guests from the base area to on mountain restaurants via a 25-person sleigh that is pulled by a snow cat.

 

Job Specifications

  • Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.04 / hour

  • Skill Level: Entry, Intermediate, & Advanced

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Part Time

 

Job Responsibilities

  • The safety of all internal (co-workers) and external (customers) guests that come into contact with your operation.
  • Safely operating a snow cat (Pisten Bully or Prinoth) with a large 5-ton sleigh attached to a hitch in the rear of the cat.  This operation includes personal safety and the safety of your cat and sleigh.
  • Pick up guests and transport them to any of our three on mountain dining facilities.  Know the approved routes and what maneuvers the cat is capable of.
  • Performing pre- and post-operation check on your snow cat (i.e. fill out paperwork, fluids check, damage, removing snow from cat, fueling cat, etc.).
  • Communicating with supervisor and management all issues, incidents, and problems.  Communicating with fleet maintenance any issues or damage to cat.
  • Using a 2-way radio to communicate the rest of cat crew your position, status and timeline.
  • Accurately documenting your time worked for payroll purposes.
  • Providing exceptional guest service to all internal and external guests.  You will be required to assist the sleigh host with the needs of any guests.
  • Be presentable: abide by the company presentation policy, wear and keep your uniform clean, and come to work with a positive attitude.
  • Work as a team with your immediate co-workers as well as the rest of cat crew, the restaurants’ staffs, and other mountain departments. 
  • Be open to working a varying schedule and help out by picking up extra shifts when required.

 

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. -required
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions. –required
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicles Reference check. –required
  • At least 18 years of age. –required
  • High school diploma or equivalent. –required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. –required
  • Physically able to climb on and off the heavy equipment frequently. –required
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time while operating a snow cat. –required
  • End of season commitment. –required

 

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $22.04. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
