Southeast Lung Associates is currently seeking full time or part-time overnight Sleep Technologist or Sleep Trainee to join our practice in Jesup/GA. Under general supervision, performs comprehensive evaluation, testing, treatment and therapeutic interventions for a variety of sleep disorders following established standards and practices.
If not certified, we will train to become certified but candidates must register and complete the A-Step program and Board Exam . This is a night job ( 8:00pm- 10am). Pay varies depending on sleep studies experience, certifications in sleep disorders or A-Step program completion.
A Sleep Technician/ Sleep Trainee is responsible for performing independent comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, sleep study preparation/set up and complete sleep studies procedures while providing clinical patient care and education to facilitate diagnosis of sleep disorders.
Qualifications:
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training;
- Associate's Degree proffered;
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Sleep Disorder Specialty (SDS) (Must obtain RPSGT credential within 9 months after hire date);
- BLS/CPR certification;
- 1 - 2 years experience preferred;
- Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.
- Strong computer hardware and software skills; technical background;
Candidates with medical experience preferred. This position requires working at several labs in the area.
