At Avera, we're seeking a Sleep Lab Technician who is passionate about making a difference in the world of sleep medicine. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves:
Job Summary:
- Unlocking the mysteries of sleep disorders through cutting-edge polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient care and education.
- Becoming a patient advocate, collecting, analyzing, and integrating information to meet their unique needs.
- Crafting your own sleep story through meticulous documentation.
- Guiding patients through the fascinating world of sleep studies.
- Preparing our state-of-the-art equipment and ensuring precision through calibration.
- Embodying the art of electrode and sensor application with the grace of a seasoned professional.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee or previous Sleep Experience, or completion of a Polysomnographic course with hours and study documented via a certificate of completion.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
- Certification by the board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent OR the ability to obtain certification within one year.
- A graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy school or equivalent is preferred
- Certified or Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care is preferred
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday: 7:00 pm-7:30 am; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
- $25.00-$37.75 per hour
