Position Summary: In the Skiver Supervisor role, the supervisor will be responsible for handling skiver operations on a flexible, weekend schedule. A key element of this role is to oversee efficient, effective performance of three- man crews. Ensuring skiver procedures and tasks are met while producing quality roll stock.
  • Adhere, promote, safety guidelines and procedures
  • Supervise personnel and oversee skiver operations
  • Train, mentor, new and existing employees
  • Skiver support equipment inventory
  • Roll stock inventory
  • Complete production forms weekly/monthly
  • Facilitate monthly OSHA safety training
  • Overseeing and coaching in cross-training process
  • Conduct quality checks on functionality of parts and components
  • Optimizing production efficiency through collaboration with employees and management
  • Preparing work schedules for day/night crews
  • Complete employee performance reports
  • Prepare roll stock on weekends for skiver to limit additional costs in manning
  • Maintain rework zone
  • Manage time and attendance for team members
  • Oversee weekend PM/clean up procedures for 24/7 operations
  • Submit work request through UPKEEP system

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred or college coursework and work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in the paper industry
  • Lead or supervisor experience a plus
  • Ability to operate a clamp truck required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work weekend a weekend schedule as needed.
