Form of workLIFE ACADEMY IS A POST GRADUATE PROGRAM THAT GROWS EMPLOYMENT AND LIFE-LONG INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS FOR STUDENTS WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES. OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO BUILD STUDENTS' CONFIDENCE RELATED TO LIVING, LEARNING, AND EARNING WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
The Life Academy Summer program is for students from the age of 12 through 21 to hone their soft skills and participate in job shadowing and volunteering within the community to become more aware of potential future careers.
As a Skills Trainer, you will work one-on-one and in group settings with students in classroom, activity-based and community settings providing coaching and mentorship, providing guidance and training to help individuals' achieve their career exploration goals.
This program runs June 3rd through August 20th Monday through Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm. The ideal candidate will have experience working with special needs youth and young adults, have exceptional communication and documentation skills and a passion for helping others succeed.
Must be able to work the full summer schedule and perform full range of physical function and possess a valid driver license.
