Role Description
This is a full-time Supervisor role located in Springfield, MA. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing crews, coordinating job sites, laying out grades for work, ensuring job quality, managing crews, and completing necessary paperwork. The Supervisor will also be responsible for communicating with project managers, superintendents, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish - includes layout, utility work, excavation, & shoring
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and construction workers
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and according to specifications
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any design or construction issues
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs & SWPPP inspection records
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Must be able to layout grades for excavation & utilities
- Knowledge of equipment and materials
- Experience with safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- OSHA certification is a plus
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction and excavation
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion
