Site Survey Assistant

Job Description:

Dunrite Excavation is an excavation employer, located in Berthoud, CO. Looking to fill a Survey assistant position for construction staking.

Responsibilities:

· The daily tasks of a land survey field technician involve preparing the work vehicle with supplies for the day’s work

· Assisting the Site Surveyor in data collection on projects

· Downloading the collected data at the end of the day

· Strong background in mathematics is preferred

· Previous surveying experience is preferred, but not required

· Knowledge of GPS equipment preferred

· Ability of read and interpret construction plans preferred

· Laborer/heavy equipment operating experience doing utility/site grading is a plus

· This position involves various manual tasks including, but not limited to, the following: lifting, pushing and pulling various objects, laser experience and shooting grade

· Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task

Requirements:

· Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR

· Be at least 18 years of age.

· Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits

· Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills

· Perform well in a “TEAM” environment

· Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

· Ability to lift 75+lbs

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise

· Workers must be punctual and reliable. And have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

· Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

· Ability to follow verbal and written instruction

· Willing to work hours that are associated to the construction industry, including overtime and weekends as needed

Pay: $20-$24 per hour DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
