SAV has been in business for 15 years, is wildly successful and is among the largest AV integrators in the country. We are now looking to hire full-time Site Superintendent.
COMMERCIAL:
The SAV Commercial Division provides a full build process through strict installation and integration that deliver superior results to both clients and our partners. Our primary focus is on the design build and implementation of structured cabling, Audio Video, Lighting and Shades for both hospitality and 5-star resorts. Our goal within the commercial team is to help develop strong working relationships with builders, sub-contractors and SAV team members through the start to finish on all aspects of the projects. Working within the commercial department brings a great deal of satisfaction because of our ability to start from the beginning and see the project all the way through final completion.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Site Superintendent monitors job performance and makes recommendations for improvements onsite insuring expectations and companywide quality control expectations are being met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Actively participates in contractor trade meetings and sub meetings
- Updates tasks and ensures tasks have been completed
- Conducts site wide quality control and documentation
- Enforces site safety rules to minimize work related accidents and injuries
- Conducts Internal schedule meetings with technicians
- Implements management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
- Oversees technician and subcontractor day to day scheduling and schedule forecasting
- Warehouse management including receiving, inventory management and product distribution
- General maintenance and upkeep of SAV owned facilities and vehicles onsite
- Project planning, organizing, and controlling of construction projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Low voltage systems and supporting infrastructure
- Skilled in the installations of all Residential Audio video systems
- Ability to think outside of the box and problem solve when problems occur
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous experience in the AV industry
- Understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow and wired and wireless networks
- Knowledge of structural basics, including drilling studs, beams, etc., and basic installation techniques, including opening sizes and device/component placement
- Basic knowledge and understanding with reading Blueprints
- High School education or GED equivalent
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil construction, industrial or mechanical engineering
- Experience in a leadership role

Degree of Supervision/Independence
- General – instruction, advice and assistance available as needed. Review of work may be frequent but not usually detailed. Emphasis is placed on quality of completed assignments.
Decision Making required/Freedom to Act
- Authority to implement decisions regarding how the duty is performed or how work assignments are carried out using extrapolated information from policy, past practice, outside documents, experience, education
