Site Operations Manager

Overview: Seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as our Site Operations Manager. This role will oversee a new facility in Chicago and the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to help open the facility. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our vegan baking manufacturing facility, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional products.

Responsibilities:

· Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant to meet production target and quality standards.

· Coordinate with production team to optimize workflow and maximize output.

· Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality baked goods.

· Collaborate with quality assurance manager to monitor and improve product quality through continuous process optimization.

· Lead, motivate, and create a positive working environment for staff.

· Ensure staff are appropriately trained.

· Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and safe working environment.

· Have a deep understanding of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and BRC.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

· Manage raw material inventory levels and ensure timely availability of necessary ingredients.

· Optimize supply chain processes to minimize waste and reduce costs.

· Foster effective communication channels within the organization.

· Create and communicate clear production goals and performance metrics.

· Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics to senior management

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business related field (preferred)

· 3-5 years in a leadership role within a baking or food manufacturing plant

· Strong knowledge of baking processes, equipment, and food safety standards

· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

· Ability to analyze and solve problems

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
