Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures, practices, licenses, permits, and site-specific EHS documentation, records and plans to assure compliance with local regulation and business requirements (OSHA, Internal policies and standards, etc.)
  • Engage and influence leadership commitment to EHS and coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS priorities
  • Lead EHS team to successfully execute on EHS priorities and objectives
  • Influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practices
  • Manage key EHS performance indicators (KPI) for the site and drive necessary efforts for success (I&I reduction, training completion, noncompliance findings closure, etc.)
  • Lead incident investigations and drive closure of effectivecorrective/preventiveactions
  • Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance
  • Assure good standing and action plans with GE's Environmental Health & Safety Framework, piloting external contractors or vendors as needed
  • Interface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies as needed
  • Execute required actions to implement and operationalize a sustainable EHS management system
  • Partner with site leadership and global EHS team to manage site EHS compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, PPE, etc.)
  • Drive EHS compliance and programs effectiveness through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections
  • Commit to collaborate on new solutions and effective diagnosis of events occurred both within and outside of the site boundaries
  • Collaborate with Production and other teams to implement programs to include change management and drive a proactive and positive safety culture
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Environment, Health and/or Safety, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience driving EHS in a Manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team
  • Willingness and ability to work any shift, flexible hours, and weekends

  • Experience applying Lean to help improve site safety performance
