Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly site-based group and individual coordination.
- Complete daily observation forms, group summaries, sign-in sheets, monthly attendance reports, monthly calendar, and family night sign-in sheets.
- Pick up and drop off program participants using the BIPS program van when the van driver calls out.
- Responsible for administering random drug screens on program participants.
- Be to point person for site based security.
- Assist youth in completing court requirements including essays and book reports.
- Participate in daily meetings with Site-base Counselor to develop strategies to help programming run smoother.
- Meet weekly with Program Director and Site Based Counselor to plan site based programming.
- Assist Program Director and Site Base Counselor in planning for monthly Family Nights.
- Responsible for locating community service sites for program participants.
- Develop strong relationships with community-based organizations and resources throughout the city to help clients and their families establish linkages to appropriate community resources.
- Conduct group sessions and support activities during the on-site program hours when needed.
- Issue certificates to clients who have completed group curriculums.
- Assist the Site-Based Coordinator in organizing trips for program participants.
- Participate in all required case consultation meetings, staff meetings and trainings.
- Share in the responsibility of tracking community service hours so that program participants complete their requirements in the timely manner.
- Maintain accurate up to date records by inputting progress notes in the CBPS database
- Accept other administrative duties to support the viability and growth of the program along with adherence to policies and governing bodies.
- Other duties or activities as assigned by the Program Director.
Experience:
- Experience in Case Management
- Knowledge, understanding and at least 4 years experience working with at-risk youth, substance abuse, trauma and/or mental illness.
- Experience in facilitating group sessions geared toward teenagers.
- Familiarity with social services and recreational resources in the community.
- Familiarity with issues related to youth and mentoring.
- Strong knowledge of community service resources relevant to this population.
- Knowledge and experience and ability to provide family partnership/parent training
- Knowledge of high-risk youth, family systems, mental health disorders and substance abuse.
- Sensitivity to cultural and economic differences.
Education Requirement:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in social work or related field;
- Masters preferred
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
