Place of Performance:

Objectives:

The U.S. Embassy Vientiaane would like a Vendor to provide Simultaneous Interpretation
Service for the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Office for a training course entitled “Trade and Cargo Academy (TCA) - Cargo Processing Workshop,” which will be held February 12-16, 2024, in El Paso, Texas, USA.

Description of Position Responsibilities:

The selected vendor will provide Simultaneous Interpretation Service for five (5) working days from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, February 12-16, 2024. Travel with Lao Customs group providing translation support as needed. Vendor costs may include logistics and travel expenses between Vientiane, Laos and El Paso, Texas, USA

The vendor is expected to arrive in El Paso, Texas on February 10 and return to Vientiane
Capital by February 19, 2024.

Requirements :

• The vendor will provide Simultaneous Interpretation Service from Lao to English and English to Lao.
• Two (2) Interpreters are required to complete the service.
• Have experience translating terminology related customs operations, law enforcement, and border security.
• Have familiarity with Lao government structures, particularly with Customs Department, Ministry of Finance.
• Facilitate communication and coordination for training participants during travel.
