Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Simulator Technician at Vance AFB in Enid, Oklahoma. (This is an onsite position, with no option for remote work).
The Simulator Technician will be responsible for maintaining operation of eight Mid-tier Training Devices (MTD). The MTDs resemble the T-1A AMP Jayhawk and are used to train the next generation of pilots in multi-engine/instrument operation using simulation and mixed reality technology.
The ideal candidate should have experience in gaming, simulation, aircraft maintenance and/or operation, along with a strong background in Internet Technology (IT). A CompTIA Sec+ certification will be required within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
Other duties may include, but are not limited too:
- Occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to 75 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; use hands and finger, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl into confined spaces.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Availability to work shift schedules, overtime, holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- Security+ certification (Or IATII equivalent) – or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Bachelor's and zero (0) yrs experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
