BAKERY HOST | JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
At Magnolia, the Bakery Host is responsible for being a Magnolia ambassador and providing guests with exceptional food service. Hosts connect with guests in genuine and authentic ways while sharing information about products and Silo Baking Co. The position participates in a variety of tasks such as assisting with product and order processing. The Bakery Host is a critical aspect of the overall guest experience as they are usually the first and last individual a guest interacts with within the bakery. This position works from Silos Baking Co. in Waco, Texas.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

  • This position reports to the Bakery General Manager, Assistant Managers, and Crew Leaders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
AVAILABILITY
  • Part-time hourly availability = 20-29 hours per week, as assigned
  • Full-time hourly availability = 30+ hours per week, as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Uphold Magnolia’s mission, vision, and values
  • Greet guests with enthusiasm
  • Ensure the highest level of guest care in line with Magnolia’s brand
  • Perform cash wrap and POS duties in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a high level of guest service
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  • Help to maintain organization, cleanliness, and restock
  • Learn and promote current products and sale details to guests
  • Adhere to loss prevention and inventory control procedures
  • Work in food trucks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced bakery environment; use of tools and kitchen appliances is a key function of the position
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Texas State Food Handlers License upon hire
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
1-2+ years hospitality experience preferred

While performing the duties of the job, the employee operates in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks, dishwashers, commercial mixers, food processors, ovens and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
