Signage Estimator

We are seeking an experienced sign estimator with excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills to assess project requirements, analyzing costs, and preparing accurate takeoffs and estimates for signage projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of signage materials and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Estimating/purchasing experience in signage.

• Review RFPs with the ability to analyze sign drawings and identify all necessary elements (material and labor) to perform accurate takeoffs from civil and architectural plan sets.

• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.

• Prepare detailed and comprehensive estimates for signage projects, including itemized breakdowns of costs.

• Proactively communicate with sales/design team to thoroughly define project scope and ensure accurate, reasonable and competitive quotes are given on a timely basis.

• Maintain current knowledge of materials, labor costs, and fabrication methods.

• Solutions-based, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, strong time management skills

• Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Responsible for holding job pre-bid meeting with Account Managers to review scope, strategy, etc.

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, vendors, and installers to ensure project success.

• Ability to find vendors, communicate needs, value engineer solutions and negotiate pricing.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to “see the big picture” while focusing on the details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans.
• 3 years of construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of graphics production processes required.
• Proven experience as an estimator in the signage industry or a similar field.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of signage materials, fabrication techniques, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of sign installation methods is a plus.
