Job description

Summary:
Utilize excellent customer service skills to ensure an exceptionally high level of service in welcoming and seating guests at CS Venue, while coordinating dining room seating chart, and interacting with the guests in a positive, professional manner with enthusiasm and sincerity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.
  • Greets all who enter restaurant in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Coordinates dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners, alerting serving staff to expressed allergy concerns, special occasions, special requests.
  • Maintains active table map (seating chart) of Dining Room, including server assignments
  • Compiles and maintains waiting list, keeping guests informed regarding table availability
  • Greets and escorts guests to tables, presents menus; gives Server's name; makes accommodation for special seating needs.
  • Know and greet Club members by name and their past preferences.
  • Attentive to guest needs regarding their outerwear and accoutrements. Maintains an organized coatroom where applicable.
  • Manages foyer area access and ensures that all guests have been acknowledged and assisted.
  • Assists serving staff by checking and restocking dining room serving stations: for neatness, organization and cleanliness.
  • Adheres to CS Venue grooming and hygiene policy.
  • Observes and assures compliance with all health codes and sanitation requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Must be outgoing, personable and organized.
  • At least 1-year fine dining experience or similar.
  • Must meet dress code requirements.
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1-2 years experience with the company.
Language Skills:
Fluency in the English language: read, write, speak clearly and effectively. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Operational understanding of reservation systems (e.g. Open Table"), POS system, Word processing spreadsheet and email and internet software.
Other Qualifications:
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Employees at on-mountain venues must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level, and pass company on-snow assessment.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above.
  • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The pay rate for this position is $14/hr. This position does have the ability to earn tips.
