Shuttle Truck Driver 2

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of parts and accessories between branch stores and the Caterpillar depot on schedule while adhering to company safety regulations as well as state and federal laws/guidelines. Will be responsible for completing all required documentation and maintenance files. Hours for this position are from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM Class A CDL Required. Minimum 5 years of truck driving experience required.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level. The incumbent of the position must maintain customer satisfaction, as well as reducing the need for our outside carriers. Position is for a SWING DRIVER that will travel in the San Antonio and Corpus Christi Area.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be qualified, certified, and Class A, CDL licensed for vehicle operation
• Swing Driver - Must be able to travel in the San Antonio area and to the Corpus Christi Area; with required overnight stays in Corpus Christi on several occasions.
• Must be able to acquire and retain a DOT physical/medical card
• A good driving record required
• Minimum 5 years of commercial truck driving experience required.
  • Tractor-Trailer Experience preferred
  • Air-brake Endorsement required
  • Manual Transmission Operation required
• Must be able to obtain and retain a DOT Medical Card
• Must be able to obtain and retain a MSHA Certification
• Must be able to obtain and retain a forklift license
• Computer literacy is required.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Must demonstrate effective customer relation skills
• Must adapt to safety culture
• Must be able to be on a one Saturday per month rotation.
• Must be able to work all shifts but most shifts will be 3rd shift: 10 PM to 10 AM

Additional Job Information:

Swing Shift hours are 10pm to 10am, must be able to work different shits. Hands-on freight and forklift use is a must. Must be able to work "ON SCHEDULE" and work in a TEAM environment. SAFETY-minded individuals needed to get the job done SAFELY each day. The driver needs to be willing to take direction and eventually be self-directed. Ongoing TRAINING is mandated.
