Job Title:Shuttle Driver and Logistical Support
Position Type: Part Time, Seasonal
Schedule: Variable; Weekend, night and holiday work as required, approx. 20 hours a week
Compensation: $20+ per hour (DOE)

Job Summary
Based in Moab, Utah, this position is tasked with supporting raft trips as driving participants in 12 passenger buses and assisting with Logistical Support depending on experience. Logistic support can be assigned as packing food, completing basic vehicle checks or similar tasks. A primary function of this and every job at the National Ability Center is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor of the National Ability Center receives the highest caliber of service.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities
• Transport participants, guides, and equipment in 12 passenger accessible buses and trucks
• Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and maintenance, including but not limited to fluid checks, tire pressure checks and air filter cleaning
• Report needed repairs to Operations Manager and assist with minor repairs and/or transport vehicles to mechanics in Moab
• Help keep vehicles clean and presentable
• Assist guides with gear at put-ins and take-outs
• Communicate trip information to participants while in person at put-ins and take-outs
• Assist with loading and packing of participant personal gear
• Adapt equipment to enable participants with special needs to fully participate
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in working with guests and co-workers
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:Requirements
· Must be able to start no later than mid-May and work until mid-Sept 2024
· Current First Aid and CPR/AED (through ARC or AHA) certi?cations (paid for by the NAC)
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to obtain UDOT certification by end of training (paid for by NAC)
• Vehicle maintenance expérience a plus
• Experience with transporting guests in large capacity vehicles a plus
• Able/willing to work long hours in temperatures which regularly exceed 100 degrees
• Able/willing to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Able/willing to work irregular hours with a schedule which changes often
• Able/willing to drive long distances while maintaining an alert and attentive focus
