Job Summary
The Shred Driver will have the opportunity to experience a work-life balanced lifestyle with a schedule set for Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. The individual requires a FOR HIRE endorsement on an Operator License. The Driver will play an important role in the company as they will be responsible for picking up and delivering confidential containers and materials from local businesses and transporting them back to our facility to dispose of them properly.
Responsibilities
- Pick up materials and products as scheduled;
- Deliver clean totes/consoles to customers and place in their correct locations as scheduled;
- Maintain security of customer’s information at all times;
- Load and Unload trucks daily
- Maintain records of all delivery tickets used, mileage logs, and daily maintenance reports;
- Return completed records to the office daily
- Provide excellent customer service through day-to-day activities
- Are aware of, and observe, all safety precautions and legal requirements in driving and maintaining agency vehicles as well as equipment
- Are responsible for the safety and welfare of all passengers in the agency vehicle
- See to the general upkeep and maintenance of assigned vehicles; perform regular safety and maintenance checks. Ensure that regularly scheduled maintenance requirements are adhered to and the reporting of extra ordinary repairs as needed
- Attend all in-service and agency meetings, as required
- Run and maintain equipment as assigned by Director of Business Services
- Perform the duties of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as required
- Pick up materials and oversee processing of document destruction
- Perform shredding duties when necessary; including forklift driving; supervising a line and baling
- Work overtime as required
Qualifications
- Must possess at least a For Hire Endorsement on an operator's driver's license with a driving record acceptable to Opportunity Enterprises, Inc.’s insurance carrier.
- Must have high school diploma/GED
