We are seeking a Shopify Developer experienced in e-commerce platforms and Shopify APIs. As a Shopify Custom App Developer, you will be responsible for creating, customizing, and maintaining applications that enhance the functionality and user experience of the Shopify-based systems connected to our GLASS Marketplaces.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify apps to meet government client requirements, enhance store functionalities, and improve the customer shopping experience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify development trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the highest quality of work
- Work closely with government clients to gather project requirements, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that align with their agency goals
- Integrate custom apps seamlessly with Shopify stores, ensuring compatibility with existing themes and plugins
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of custom apps
- Create and maintain clear and organized technical documentation for custom app development, code, and processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Shopify app development, including knowledge of Shopify's Liquid, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies
- Strong understanding of web development, front-end, and back-end technologies
- Proficiency in using Shopify APIs and webhooks
- Experienced in deploying and maintaining applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid understanding of Git and GitHub for version control, working seamlessly alongside other developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Skilled in Scrum or Agile development methodologies
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a creative mindset
- Knowledge of e-commerce industry and online retail best practices is a plus
