TRANSPORT PERSONNEL JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Transport Personnel will be responsible for the movement of supplies, materials, and equipment, to and from job sites. The employee shall be able to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties through the day. Requires the ability to multi-task with given assignments, good communication skills, and the ability to work without direct supervision.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Daily inspection of trucks and trailers for potential issues with tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc.
. Must know how to hook up trailers, load, and secure tie downs. Must know how to drive with trailer and big equipment.
· Double check trailer rigging to truck
· Load and unload ensuring everything is properly secured
· Materials, equipment, and supplies are on job sites when needed
· Return materials; put back in shop neatly
· Equipment returns to shop with: re-fuel, clean, and store
· Turn receipts into office
· Inform the office of any repairs needed on equipment
· Take equipment for repairs
· Learn the different lubricants and fuels needed for each piece of equipment
· Accepts deliveries at shop or job sites
· Shop & Yard cleaning when not assigned other duties
· Avoid accidents with company vehicles and equipment
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Bilingual preferred [Spanish/English] with the ability to read and write
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with problems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and a good driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, lift and/or move heavy objects, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop or kneel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:(Include but not limited to)
Travel from site to site; work areas can be congested with materials and other trades, moving mechanical parts, exposure to heights, dust, debris, noise, fumes, chemicals, ground radiation, infectious materials; poisonous insects and animals, work in inclement weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
