Knife River Materials is currently accepting applications for Mechanic. This is a great opportunity, for the individual that enjoys learning and multi-tasking. The Mechanic is responsible for assisting with maintenance and repairs to fleet.
This is a full-time position that will require occasional overtime and weekend work. Working hours are Monday thru Friday, working hours depend on workload. Regular attendance required.

Self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently or in a team setting, and ability to maintain positive customer relations.
Valid Driver’s License. CDL preferred but not required
Heavy Truck and Equipment repair experience preferred, but willing to train the right individual.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test

1. Responsible for performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and equipment,
and/or assisting with repairs to assure it is in safe/reliable working condition.
2. Safely operate equipment, tools, and hoists on a daily basis.
3. Maintain a clean safe work area.
4. Fill out shop repair orders and daily paperwork.
5. Responsible to provide some basic hand tools, pneumatics, and specialty tools dependent on level
of skill and training.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
