We are a Detention Contractor (Specialize in Prison Construction) seeking an Shop Foreman to become an integral part of our Fabrication/Manufacturing Division! Our Fabrication/Manufacturing Facility supports our field operations and is responsible for the fabrication/manufacturing of all detention equipment per our contractual scopes of work on projects in active/existing Detention Centers and New Construction.
** We are NOT a Structural Steel or Pipe Fabrication/Manufacturing Facility. We specialize in custom fabrication for Detention Centers/Prisons. Typical material used: 12Ga, 10Ga, 3/16”, & ¼” Carbon Steel and 304 Stainless Steel. **
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily operations of the fabrication shop
- Delegation of tasks to shop personnel
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
Qualifications:
- MIG welding 12 Ga., 10 Ga., 3/16”, ¼” HRPNO Steel
- MIG/TIG welding 12 Ga., 10 Ga., 3/16”, ¼” 304 Stainless Steel
- Familiarity with welding tools and procedure
- Familiarity with CNC machinery:
- CNC Press Brake
- CNC Sheet Metal Shear
- CNC Automatic Horizontal Band Saw
- CNC Sheet Metal Laser
- Familiarity with typical hand tools:
- Drills
- Hand Grinders
- Band Saw
- Plasma
- Etc.
- Familiarity with steel/sheet metal custom fabrication
- Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
- Ability to handle physical workload.
