About the position
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible primarily for the maintenance and good order of the shipping and receiving records and work area. Responsible for the carrying out of those jobs and/or assignments set forth by the department manager. This person will administer internal procedures and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pulling orders, shipping, receiving, and making deliveries.
- Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
- Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information and loaded into transporting vehicles
- Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading
- Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records; checking for damaged goods; insuring goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment; preparing and keeping records of goods received
- May be required to operate machinery such as a forklift
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient at math and reading
- Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable with clean driving record.
- Prior experience in the construction, equipment, or oil industry is preferred.
- Must have valid Driver license
Physical Requirements
The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees. The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds often. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Employee will use their hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. May use one or two hands and fingers to grasp, move or assemble objects or to use keyboard for data entry. Employee may work in extreme heat and cold temperatures in warehouse setting with dirt and dust.

Pay rate and Provisions:
- CERTEX will provide procedures and training

- Starting pay is $18-$20 per hour (depending on experience)
