Shipping/Receiving Lead

Do you like a fast-paced, environment with lots of different tasks and projects?  Do you like finding ways to improve efficiencies and work with a team?    We are  looking for a Shipping/Receiving Lead to join our team in Naperville, Illinois.   Shipping is a small team doing big things set in a mid-sized office in Naperville, Illinois!
This immediate full-time opening is the perfect opportunity for an individual who possesses a big-picture mentality, is a proactive self-starter and has a methodical approach to details. 

Shipping/Receiving Lead Responsibilities.

• You jump at the opportunity to assist colleagues with all shipping requests which includes books, press kits & sales brochures
• Maintain general knowledge about shipping options, service levels, costs, etc.
• Coordinate shipments/order fulfillment of promotional books and materials from printers and other third parties
• Assistant with inventory counts and suggests improvements for inventory reduction on slow moving unit.
• Check in incoming shipments and report shortages or damages of materials
• Generate a receiving ticket for all incoming ARCs, finished samples, and covers
• Assist with coordinating fulfillment of all trade show materials shipping from Naperville office
• Understand the requirements for delivering to show sites and ensure proper packing, labeling and shipping methods are used
• Coordinate truck pick-ups and build/break down pallets as needed
• Track show orders to ensure on-time delivery

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Shipping room experience and/or inventory experience of a minimum of 1 year
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand 90% of the work day and perform physical movements of twisting, bending, lifting,, etc.
• Familiarity and understanding with shipping room equipment and working with 3rd party logistic companies (FedEx, UPS, USPS, messenger services, etc.)
• Organized and detail orientation
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
