Shipping/Receiving Associate

Summary

The Shipping / Receiving Associate is responsible for coordinating activities involved with receiving all incoming raw material, production and maintenance supplies, packaging products, and customer related returns, Picking, processing and shipping all customer orders and defective materials, control HazMat outgoing materials, deliver supplies as needed to manufacturing locations.

Essential Functions

· Review incoming materials and process as required for accurate PO receipt, accounts payable activities and Quality incoming processing

· Process all outgoing defective returns and manage corresponding inventory transactions

· Complete daily shipments to customers per Order Input delivery plan with the focus of On Time Delivery and Inventory accuracy

· Responsible for HazMat material handling and transport loading

· Frequent communications with all parties involved in procurement process (user, accounting staff, Materials staff, Qa staff).

· Work Close with Incoming transportation logistic carriers to coordinate and schedule incoming materials

· Maintain a Clean and Safe work environment at all times

· Ensures compliance with SOX controls and processes.

· Complete daily Cycle Counts

· Expedite material, equipment, and supplies as required.

· Coordinate with freight carriers on shipment pick up and transportation needs both domestic and international

· Maintain own information records files.

· Act as back-up for assigned counterpart as required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Required to work Overtime during the week and on weekends
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· 1 year Receiving / Shipping experience required.

· Must have a valid Drivers License

• Ability to drive Forklift
• Broad understanding of all areas related to receiving and export legal compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
