Role Overview: You will be responsible for the daily functions of the shipping department. The primary responsibility is to pull and pack orders in a timely fashion and ensure that the packages meet the quality standards of the company.

Responsibilities

- Ship and receive products in a timely manner in accordance with the company’s schedule

- Retain and stay updated with any working knowledge of all department functions

- Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures for picking orders

- Document non-conformances and deviations followed by preventive action reports as necessary

- Review orders that are picked and packed and sign off appropriately

- Practice good documentation skills

- Weigh out dry ice for packing with accuracy

- Maintain freezer organization and cleanliness

- Ensure all checks, tasks, calibrations are documented accurately on the appropriate records

- Assist with inventory management as necessary

- Cleaning/sanitizing of all work areas as prescribed by the Master Sanitation schedule

- Maintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) systems and report any concerns to Management

- Assist other departments as directed by Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly

- Ability to respond with a high sense of urgency

- Excellent time management and flexibility

- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

- Able to work in a cold environment

Expected Scheduling: Monday to Thursday, (10 hour shifts during the day)
