Shipping & Receiving Team Supervisor

Summary: Managing shipments of all products, materials, and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Determines orders to wrap and pack by due date.

2. Visually inspects for flaws glass blanks while packing. Pulls out questionable parts and reviews with Quality Control.

3. Prepares glass accurately for shipment according to customer orders and instructions by packaging, weighing, and documenting correct shipment details.

4. Tracks, and updates status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

5. Scanning paperwork into system that comes with received shipments. Maintains shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.

6. Receives and inspects incoming shipments for discrepancies or damage. Reports any issues promptly to appropriate person.

7. Ability to receive, store and stack items.

8. Performs safely physical tasks lifting, carrying, stacking by hand, using material handling equipment.

9. Engages with vendors, drivers, and employees with integrity and respect.

10. Maintains a safe and orderly shipping/receiving department.

11. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and equivalent combination of education and experience. Six months logistics, or customer service experience.

Forklift Certification within 90 days of hire date.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Able to work with team and independently

· Familiarity with UPS/Fed Ex portal

· Computer skills

· Time management skills

· Organizational skills

Scheduled hours 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
