Summary Description:
The Shipping and Receiving Manager leads a team of employees engaged in shipping and receiving both complex equipment and boxed parts. Coordination of the day-to-day activities of the team includes ensuring that incoming items are properly received, tagged, and stored or delivered as needed. Responsible for ensuring that products to be shipped to customers or transported to outside vendors are packaged to ensure safe, on-time, best cost, and successful delivery. The Shipping and Receiving Manager will provide leadership, analyze data, and make decisions, and to support a culture of continuous improvement is critical to the company's success.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for this role will be a coach-player to both lead the team and engage in the daily work, guided by ENTEK's Core Values, strategic objectives, and Servant Leadership. Responsibilities:
- Supports workers locating parts according to BOM, Sales order, or other requirement, inventorying items for shipping, packaging items as needed to ensure quality standards upon arrival and shipment of items.
- Develops processes for determining shipping methods, scheduling shipping, and cost control for shipping both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensures sufficient materials and tools available for workers when larger items require custom built crates, pallets, or other containers for the safe shipment of product.
- Supervise Loading as needed and 'coach' OTR drivers on properly tying down products to avoid damage and ensure our quality standards.
- Assures all items received or shipped are properly documented in the ERP system.
- Promotes communication to concerned parties if an expedited item or requisitioned item has arrived.
- Develop work instructions and standardized practices.

- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Extensive knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and resources
- Excellent coordination skills to ensure success in collaboration with various departments
- Effective communication and reporting skills to provide accurate data to business partners

Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- Equivalent of education and experience
- 5 years' leadership experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment
- ERP system experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
