Shipping Loader - Amarr - Lawrence, KS

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping Loader in our Lawrence, KS location.

A Shipping Loader will use proper lifting techniques to stack and load garage doors, weighing up to 90 pounds, into a double bed trailer. You will work as a team to occasionally lift doors that weigh up to 250 pounds.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Responsible for quality of products being shipped.

· Must be able to handle steel sections overhead (50 or more lbs.)

· Responsible for loading trailers properly under the direction of the lead loader.

· Required to read shipping paperwork and stage material prior to loading process.

· Must be able to correctly identify product and handle sections in a safe and efficient manner.

· Responsible for keeping work area and trailers clean and organized.

· Responsible for maintaining the 5S continuous improvement program.

· Any other duties as required.

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Must be able to run a scanner.

· Must have very basic computer skills.

· Ability to learn product.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Standing/Walking required throughout the entire shift.

· Walking distance of 100 feet on a periodic basis throughout the entire shift

· Manual dexterity, frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling required.

· Must be able safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty- five pounds.

Pay: $18.10 - $19.60 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Overnight shift
