Position Overview:
SUMURI LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our operations team. The Shipping Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of our products to customers worldwide. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing:
- Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify product availability and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure orders can be fulfilled.
- Generate and print shipping labels and documentation.
- Shipping and Logistics:
- Prepare shipments for domestic and international delivery.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on customer requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and customs requirements for international shipments.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with the procurement team to replenish stock as needed.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packaging.
- Ensure that all shipments are packed securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Address and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries related to shipping and delivery.
- Communicate shipping status and tracking information to customers.
- Handle customer requests and concerns related to shipments.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Prepare shipping reports for management as needed.
- Maintain digital and physical shipping files.
- Background Check:
- Candidates must undergo a State and Federal Background Check as part of the hiring process for this position.
- Other Duties:
- You may be assigned additional duties by management as needed to support various aspects of our operations and contribute to the success of SUMURI.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and tools.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during busy periods.
