SUMMARY
This position assists all High Hampton Inn departments with all aspects of product, package, and food delivery and is the primary contact for all deliveries. This position is responsible for the transportation and drop off of all delivered products to the correct outlets along with maintaining vendor delivery relationships.
Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Receiving role is responsible for executing the following steps when an order or delivery truck arrives:
- Determine which department the delivery is slated to go to. (If the order contains perishable items, the Kitchen Receiving role will follow the outlined criteria of High Hampton Inn standards for perishable food items.)
- Check the items received against the items ordered. Make sure the number of items and size of the case match the items shipped.
- Check the quality of containers. Do not accept damaged goods.
(i.e. - Wet boxes of chocolate, dented cans, boxes labeled fragile that have glass broken inside.)
- Check the quality of all perishable goods. Remember, only accept items at the peak of quality.
- Arrange received goods in the warehouse per High Hampton Inn standards.
- Shipping verification: Check to see if there is a packing slip or invoice outside the box and compare what is in the box to match the packing slip.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Basic warehouse operations
Valid license and safe driving record
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and follow directions
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic knowledge and understanding of math
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job training
Awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Heavy lifting is required
All work involves standing for most if not all of the working shift
May be asked to drive a company vehicle
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1,400 acres of High Hampton property and off-site Warehouse
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
