Shipping Associate - Weekend Shift.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our client's logistics team in Smithfield, NC. Schedule: 1 week day (employee's choice) + Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Verify and inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Shipping Coordination:
- Generate and print shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers and couriers.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and audits.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to inventory to the supervisor promptly.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the receiving, inventory, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide support in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Follow all regulatory requirements related to shipping and handling of goods.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role preferred.
