Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assisting in the coordination of shipping activities, including preparing shipping documents, shipping/receiving, loading/unloading, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Identifying and resolving shipping-related problems or delays promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Reading packing slips, BOL’s, and invoices and locating products/parts.
• Ensuring proper packaging of items to prevent damage during transit and arranging product on pallets and on skids for shipment using the appropriate packaging materials and methods.
• Building pallets, working with hand tools, and securing parts for shipments.
• Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
• Liasing with internal teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any shipping-related issues or inquires.
• Providing support in the warehouse as needed, including receiving incoming shipments, organizing storage areas.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years’ experience in warehouse shipping and receiving.
• Hilo and pallet jack experience. Hilo certification would be an asset.
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to build pallets
• Ability to establish work schedules and plan workload to meet deadlines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and carry loads on a repetitive basis
• Attention to detail for ensuring the accuracy of shipping documents such as packing list, BOL, etc.
• Collaboration with colleagues in various department as well as Shipping personnel in Canada, H.O.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in computer skills and experience with shipping software or systems would be an asset.

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Shipping & receiving: 2 years (Preferred)
• Hi-Lo: 2 years (Preferred)
