Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Pasadena, TX

Turner Industries is seeking applicants for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work at a facility in Pasadena, TX.

• Regular schedule will be Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm
• Oversees daily functions of the Warehouse outgoing and incoming orders
• Basic knowledge of industrial supplies and materials
• Track inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are on hand for planned work
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure delivery times meet deadlines for planned work
• Stock delivered materials in the Warehouse
• Experienced operating a warehouse forklift - Must have a valid Driver's License
• Knowledgeable in MS Office and SAP Inventory software
• Available to work overtime as needed
• Experience working in an industrial facility or parts warehouse preferred

General Job Description:

Provides general clerical support, documentation, checking and assistance in office and/or field areas.

Functional Requirements:

Performs basic clerical functions including filing, copying, binding reports, typing and checking documentation, invoices, correspondence, etc.; handles, sorts, distributes, delivers and picks up mail; proofreads records or forms; operates business machines such as calculators, typewriters, computers, facsimile machines, copiers, etc.; receives and coordinates storage of packages, office supply deliveries, etc.; may answer, screen and direct telephone calls; may compile and prepare various reports; may coordinate and process general administrative work, for example, time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.; performs additional assignments as required.

Qualification Standards:

• Minimum one (2) year of experience
• Knowledge of business machines, computers and/or menu driven applications
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and machines; lifting from ground level, waist lever, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; bending; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; repeating tasks of short duration; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways
