Job Title: Shift Supervisor Job Type: Full Time hourly Compensations Packages range from 125k to 200k+. (Varies depending on how many hours per week and percent of profit sharing)Type: Supervisor of Outages/ Projects We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Supervisor to join our team at Matrix Power Services to support our waste-to-energy power plant projects (and other projects). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in welding techniques and procedures specific to the unique demands of waste-to-energy facilities. Travel is Required. We have 4 locations on the east coast but travel all over the country. Position Overview:As a supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of our welding, boiler, and pipe fitting teams. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the quality and efficiency of work, managing schedules, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This role also involves engaging in meetings with customers to discuss project progress, timelines, and any specific requirements.Key Responsibilities:• Supervise Welding, Boiler repairs, mechanical system repairs and pipe fitting teams.• Lead and guide teams of skilled professionals in all tasks in construction projects.• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.• Provide technical expertise and support to team members.• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.• Allocate resources efficiently to optimize productivity.• Address and resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.• Engage with customers to discuss project requirements, progress, and any modifications.• Collaborate with clients to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded.• Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns raised by customers.• Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Qualifications• Proven experience in supervising welding, boiler repairs, mechanical systems, rigging, or pipe fitting teams.• Strong knowledge of fabrication and construction processes.• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.• Prior experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.• OSHA 10/30. • Rigging Certification Preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervision role.
