Subculture Sandwich Shop is an small business in beautiful Huntington Beach, CA. We are fast-paced, social, fun and our goal is to provide delicious, extraordinary sandwiches for everyone to enjoy.

Extraordinary Shift Leads (part-time or full-time)

Our Extraordinary Shift Leads are fun, friendly role models who take pride in assembling quality sandwiches, and training new team members, while delivering excellent service to our customers. They have a strong awareness of food quality and safety and are able to manage any customer service escalations. They thrive in our fast-paced, team environment and produce extraordinary sandwiches quickly, accurately, and consistently.

Average Hourly Pay: $16.00 to $23.00 including tips (depending on experience)

Store hours:

• 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM - Monday through Saturday
• 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Sunday

What you’ll do:

• Enthusiastically greet customers as they arrive and leave
• Assemble a wide selection of sandwiches quickly, accurately, and consistently
• Take accurate in-person orders; collect payment from customers and return accurate change
• Training and mentoring new team members
• Manage labor based on fluctuations in incoming orders
• Manage accurate inventory of ingredients and place order as needed
• Gain full understanding of all menu items and help explain options to customers accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including the kitchen area, tables, floors, and restrooms
• Maintains professional, neat appearance at all times
• Manage customer service escalations as needed
• Performs other related duties as needed

• A reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work daytime hours including weekends
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach overhead, hear, talk, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
