Responsibilities:
- Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the store meets sales targets
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and purchases
- Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Manage inventory levels and ensure products are properly stocked and displayed
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising store staff
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales strategies
- Conduct regular sales meetings to review performance and set goals for the team
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing for products
Skills:
- Strong sales management skills with the ability to sell products effectively
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions
- Experience in store management or assistant management roles preferred
- Bilingual skills (if applicable) to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
- Strong mathematical skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team of employees
- Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable pricing from suppliers
