Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Location: 35th Ave & Van Buren

Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm

Job Duties:

A Sheet Metal Fabricator will work primarily in our shop fabricating HVAC related flashings, plenums, ductwork and accessories. Applicants should be familiar with using Sheet Metal hand tools, mechanical and powered shears and brakes, soldering, light welding, and rolling. Consistently lifting/lowering and maneuvering heavy (~50lb) and awkward shaped objects is a necessity for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or other specifications
• Setting up and operating all available types of sheet-metal working machines; using a variety of hand tools in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, and assembling; and installing sheet-metal articles as required
• Use of industry specific hand tools, portable power tools, manually operated machine tools and precision measuring tools
• Use of testing devices
• Shaping, bending, fabricating, fitting and assembling techniques
• Use of rigging and hoisting equipment
• Other tasks and duties as may be assigned
• Additional tasks and duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Must test on welding skills prior to job offer
• Must pass a 10 panel drug screen (THC / weed are included in panel and must test negative for them)
• Must pass a background check

Experience:

• Metal Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
• Welding
