The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
Facility Requirements:
Must have RDCS certification
Must have Echo certification & experience
Must have BLS certifications, need to be through the AMA or AHA
Must have 5 years recent US Tech/Echo experience, will be working alone
Shift with be 7a to 5p 4 days a week or 8a to 4p 5days a week.
