Sewing Machine Technician
W.S. Bessett Inc is an independent family owned and operated business. W.S. Bessett has been servicing the sewing industry since 1921, relocating from Lynn, MA to Sanford, Maine in 1982. We sell, service, and manufacture parts for Sewing Machines.
We are looking for a full time industrial Sewing Machine Technician to come work with us. Pay is based on experience. And we have training available. Can apprentice the right candidate. This is a Monday - Friday position.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to ;
Efficiently do preventative maintenance tune-ups
Troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair machines
Speak with customers over the phone and try to help troubleshoot
Document repair work into customer file
Interacting with customers in a professional and respectful manner
Lookup/Research replacement parts
Regional Travel to customer location to service machines
Assist in loading and unloading customer machines
Assist with warehouse functions
Other job requirements;
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Frequent bending, pulling, walking, and lifting
Be motivated and patient
Neat professional appearance
Ability/dexterity to work with hand tools
Learn our catalog and offer customers solutions to their production issues
Knowledge of sewing industry is a big plus
Machine shop experience is a plus
