How you can make a difference

HealthEquity is hiring a ServiceNow CMDB Specialist. This candidate will directly influence members and clients by managing, tracking, reporting, and enforcing ITSM policies. Your partners include our CMDB developer and service peers for incident, problem, and asset management. The candidate should have an admin-level understanding of the CMDB and how to utilize configuration items to improve and develop the change management program. Your leadership will depend on you for roadmaps, data integrity, and continual improvement. It is a role that combines technical skills, people skills, and a capacity to learn and lead.

You will lead change advisory board (CAB) meetings, review standard changes, work with our senior business leaders during change freezes, recommend and implement ServiceNow enhancements, and positively impact HealthEquity. Utilize CMDB data to automate and analyze the impact, set appropriate approvals, and set up change schedules and freezes. HealthEquity is focusing on automated risk analysis and AI processes for Change Management. You will build the processes with our development teams. At HealthEquity, you will change the future.

The role requires excellent communication skills from the technical level to business-appropriate communication. Technical groups include development, quality assurance, networking, desktop engineering, and systems. Other groups critical to the role are project managers, business analysts, and business teammates, especially operations. Excellent soft skills are critical since you are responsible for effective partnerships across a disparate group.

What you'll be doing

Change Management Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive change management strategy and policies. Create and update change management documentation, including procedures and templates, and work with the development team on workflows.

Change Request Evaluation: Review and assess all change requests for completeness and adherence to established guidelines. Evaluate the potential impact and risk associated with each proposed change.

Change Authorization: Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review and approve or reject change requests. Ensure that authorized changes are scheduled and coordinated effectively.

Change Implementation: Collaborate with various teams to plan and execute changes, ensuring minimal service disruption. Monitor and communicate the progress of changes to stakeholders.

Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks associated with changes and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements during change execution.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all change activities in the ServiceNow platform. Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance the change management process to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving IT infrastructure and processes.

Stakeholder Communication: As required, communicate changes, outages, and incidents to internal and external stakeholders. Foster positive relationships with business units and IT teams to ensure smooth change execution.

DevOps Transformation Lead and drive the transformation from traditional change management processes to a DevOps mindset.
