Service Technician, Elmira, Ny

Higher Information Group (HIG) is a Toshiba, Canon, Lexmark & HP Dealer. We are seeking Copier/Printer Service Technicians to join our Service Team in the Elmira, NY regional office. Previous Office Equipment experience is a definite plus. We will also consider training individuals who demonstrate mechanical skills, troubleshooting aptitude, customer service orientated and a positive desire to succeed in a team environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment at our customers’ locations across greater New York State and northern Pennsylvania.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining and servicing our copiers and printers under service contract.
• Troubleshoot root cause issues and repair them in a timely fashion.
• Keep records of the maintenance and service cycle of the copying machine
• Place orders for spare and replacement parts for the machines.
• Maintain Company vehicle (inspection/registration, cleanliness, and oil changes)

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Previous customer-facing service experience a plus.
• Knowledge of copier repair preferred.
• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and efficiently maintain the customer’s machinery under contract.
• Competent in use of customary repair tools.
• Ability to execute and coordinate work orders.
• Discipline to work independently and complete calls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
