Job Description
Digilube Service Technician's will be required to travel 3-5 days per week. Travel includes day trips and overnight trips. Employees can drive up to 9 hours a day, and will intermittently need to get on a flight for service or installation work. Do not apply if you are not willing to travel.
I. Primary Responsibilities:
Provides service and customer support during field visits as well as troubleshooting via phone. Sales & Service Technician is capable of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
II. Essential Functions:
· Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
· Produce timely and detailed service reports
· Record and maintain business expense reports
· Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
· Collaborate with Customer Service staff, Sales staff and Production staff to help meet customer needs
· Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
· Generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve customers’ needs
· Conduct tests and inspection of products, service or processes to evaluate quality or performance
· Diagnose problems with installed equipment
· Relay all customer information, requests and/or requirements to Customer Service
· Advise Customer Service if an RGA is required and provide Customer contact information to complete the RGA
· Other duties as assigned
III. Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma, some college preferred
· Moderate to extensive travel
· Previous work experience in mechanical and electrical trades
· Ability to operate factory equipment such as Man Lift or Boom Lift
· Ability to travel and work flexible shifts to adapt to changing work schedules
· Excellent organizational skills in order to complete job tasks successfully
