Service Staff/Food Runner

Backlot Taphouse is looking for food runner/service staff to join our team! Love for pizza and a great attitude are a must, and experience doesn't hurt either. No experience?! No problem! Duties of the postion:

1. Food and Beverage Delivery: Service Staff/Food Runners are responsible for delivering food and drinks from the kitchen or bar to the appropriate tables or customers. This includes ensuring accuracy in orders and timely delivery.

2. Customer Interaction: They may interact with customers to take additional orders, answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, or address any concerns or requests.

3. Table Maintenance: Keeping tables clean and organized is essential for a pleasant dining experience. This includes clearing empty dishes and glassware, wiping down tables, and ensuring that condiments and utensils are stocked.

4. Assisting Bartenders and Cooks: Service staff may also assist bartenders in restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness.

5. Team Communication: Effective communication with kitchen staff, bartenders, servers, and management is essential for coordinating orders and ensuring that customers receive prompt service.

7. Upkeep of Work Area: Keeping the bar area clean and organized is crucial for safety and efficiency. This includes regular cleaning of surfaces, glassware, and equipment, as well as maintaining a tidy appearance throughout the shift.

8. Knowledge of Menu and Specials: Service staff should be familiar with the menu offerings, including any specials or promotions, to accurately inform customers and make recommendations based on their preferences.

9. Adhering to Health and Safety Standards: Following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety regulations are essential aspects of the job to ensure the well-being of both customers and staff.
