Titan Solar Power is currently seeking an experienced and driven Service Electrician II to join our team.
Summary:
The Service Electrician II shall be responsible for the diagnosis, service, repair, and maintenance of residential solar systems. This person will need to troubleshoot solar and electrical issues and have exceptional customer service as a Titan Solar Power representative.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a current knowledge of solar/electrical code
May perform main panel upgrades (MPU) and/or derates
Comply with all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
Work with basic hand and electrical tools.
Effectively troubleshoot solar and electrical issues
Work to problem solve and resolve service issues independently as a solar service professional
Effectively troubleshoot solar and roof leak issues
Troubleshoot electrical wiring both dc and ac
Troubleshoot networking, Wi-Fi, ethernet, and solar monitoring
Use electrical meters and equipment to test for voltage, amperage, continuity
Work with a variety of solar inverters, micro inverters, optimizers, and battery systems
Troubleshoot and track down ground fault issues
Communicate with solar inverter tech support teams to troubleshoot, and resolve inverter issues
Keep detailed records and create service reports to be shared with the operations team through company CRM NetSuite
Maintain Google Calendar
Effectively communicating schedule dates, timelines, and service resolutions with our customers
Facilitate communication, feedback and updates between inspectors, managers, drafters/engineers, permit teams and scheduling teams regarding corrections and changes needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 - 3 years of solar electric service and installation experience
Prior PV design or PV electrical experience (Preferred)
Valid Driver's License preferred
Strong computer skills
Ability to learn and take instruction
Must be self-driven, highly motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and multitask as well as strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective and professional phone and email communication
Effective computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations within PD and OSHA guidelines
Physical Requirements:
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills, including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions
Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, green
Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouching
Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protections
Alternate sitting or standing, crouching or bending at will
Able to travel up to 40% of the time
