AAEC Early College High School is looking for a part-time Service Dog Trainerto join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
Position Summary:
- This is a part-time position.
- The Service Dog is responsible for leading and teaching our Service Dog training classes. The classes meets twice a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm-5 pm.
- Outside of class time might be needed in case of emergencies with a service animal (for example a service animal gets sick).
- This trainer is also responsible to come up with a diet plan for each dog.
- The position is seasonal each year from August to May.
Skills:
- Ability to perform basic math in order to complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independetly.
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions in a manner that is easy for others to understand.
- Ability to use tools properly for specific purposes.
- Ability to use common sense in order to prevent problems that could result in injury or damage to property or personnel.
- Ability to handle physical workloads effectively. (heavy equipment operation, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., etc.)
- Ability to use basic computer functions like Microsoft Office, email, etc.
Must be able to pass background check through Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprinting.
