Service Center Operator, 2Nd Shift | Charleston

Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Service Center Operator position. As a Service Center Operator, you are responsible for setting up, maintaining the machine and work area.

If position is second or third shift insert this: This position is 2nd Shift. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders
• Finished good piece finishing to meet customer expectation and packaging of material per customer specification
• Work order confirmation on computer
• Operating an overhead crane, forklift or side loader to move material as needed
• Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:
•Some warehouse experience preferred

• Ability to navigate on a computer to find information, enter information when prompted and print as necessary
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements for mobility and lifting requirements
• Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills

Pay: $19.57 - $23.56 per hour
