A premier medium & heavy-duty diesel repair shop servicing the Salt Lake area is in need of an experienced Service Advisor / Service Writer. This is a Monday – Friday day-shift “direct-hire” opportunity..

Starting Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 an hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities for the Service Advisor / Customer Service Writer position include:
Answer phone calls, emails and walk-in visits to address any customer concern with the highest level of response and attention
Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and options.
Using your knowledge of services to recommend information about available parts and service options to customers.
Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling inspection appointments, vehicle /motor drop-off, and pick-up.
Managing and overseeing the workflow and schedule for the repairs.
Calling customers to update them on the progress and advise them about service changes or pick-up times.
Maintaining positive customer service & relationships to ensure repeat business.
Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payment.
Qualifications for the Service Advisor / Customer Service Writer position include:
Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines & medium & heavy duty trucks.
Understanding of basic diesel techniques related to repair and servicing of trucks & trailers.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new and innovative diesel technologies or repair methods.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work on both the customer and mechanic side.
Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting.
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Computer proficient.
Retail diesel truck service experience, preferred
Must have and maintain a valid Utah driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving record
