Job Overview:
As a Server, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service by taking and delivering food and beverage orders in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, providing recommendations when requested.
Order Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before serving to customers.
Upselling and Promotion:
- Suggest and upsell menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
- Inform customers about daily specials and unique offerings.
Knowledge of Menu:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items, dietary restrictions, and allergens.
Payment Processing:
- Present bills to customers, handle payments accurately, and provide correct change.
- Process electronic payments following company procedures.
Cleanliness and Organization:
- Set up dining areas, including tables and utensils, ensuring cleanliness and attractiveness.
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, preparing them for new customers.
Customer Relations:
- Build positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to maintain a cohesive and efficient operation.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate service and address customer needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages.
